get to know me

Hi, I’m Janeen

For years, I’d been trying to build better habits. Waking up at 6am, then falling off after a week. Setting my alarm to go to bed at 9pm, only to find myself up at midnight watching movies. Eating healthier, then demolishing an entire bag of chips by myself. You get the idea. Every time I started a “good habit,” it never seemed to last very long. I needed to be more intentional and disciplined, but more importantly, I needed to create a better system. A softer system. It was always 0 to 100, burning out, then starting all over again.

In 2024, I decided enough was enough. My body was tired. I was disappointed in myself. And I wanted to finally live the life I’d always dreamed of, but that life demanded better habits and a better system. So I started putting post-its on my walls to remind myself of the promises I’d made: “Don’t eat after 9pm. No scrolling first thing in the morning.” But the words were harsh. Punishing. I was treating myself like an enemy that needed to be controlled, not a person who deserved compassion.

That’s when everything shifted. I started asking different questions:

What if discipline could be gentle?
What if structure could be soft?
What if productivity didn’t require punishment?

I began rebuilding slowly and carefully. I studied feminine energy work. I learned about nervous system regulation. I discovered that my natural rhythms weren’t weaknesses to overcome, but wisdom to honour.

The harsh post-its came down. In their place, I built systems that worked with me, not against me. Routines that honored my energy instead of depleting it. Structure that was flexible enough to bend when life happened.

That’s how soft structure was born.

That’s how soft structure was born.

About my blog

Soft Structure Guide is the resource I wish I’d had when I was stuck in that all or nothing cycle. This is where we explore what it means to build routines that honour your energy, not deplete it. Where discipline doesn’t have to be harsh and structure doesn’t have to be rigid. Here, you’ll find gentle morning routines that actually feel nourishing. Sunday reset rituals that bring calm instead of stress. Planning systems designed for real women living real lives. Digital tools and templates to support your soft structure journey. Everything I share comes from lived experience, not theory.

This blog is for you if you’ve ever felt like traditional productivity advice was written for someone else. Someone who doesn’t have your energy, your life, or your struggles. You’re tired of the 5am hustle culture that leaves you exhausted. You want sustainable habits that last beyond motivation. You’re ready for a feminine approach to getting things done. And most importantly, you’re done punishing yourself in the name of self improvement. If any of this resonates, you’re in exactly the right place.

What makes us different? We don’t believe in punishment disguised as discipline. We don’t think rest is lazy or that softer means weaker. We know that your natural rhythms are wisdom, not weaknesses. And we’re here to help you build systems that prove it. I keep my face private because this work is about the message, not the messenger. What matters isn’t who I am but whether these systems help you build a life you actually want to live. You’re not following a faceless corporation. You’re learning from someone who’s been exactly where you are. Someone who knows what it’s like to fail at the same habit seventeen times. Someone who finally found a better way and wants to share it with you.

Welcome to Soft Structure Guide. Welcome home.
